On April 19, 2013, 48 Go Green International Eco Film Competition, the ultimate online international ecological short film festival, will be celebrating their 3rd annual competition with a green carpet evening event and cocktail reception at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
The visionary observations of the competition’s winning filmmakers will be enjoyed with screenings of these 15 short films; each of these winning entries from around the world was produced within a 48-hour period.
The invitation-only event will be attended by winning film makers and notables from the worlds of entertainment, environmental advocacy, politics and industry.
The film-making concept encourages individuals to create stimulating ecological messages through short movies produced within a 48-hour timeframe. In three years, more than 1,200 teams from 130 cities worldwide have submitted more than 450 films.
Since its inception in 2009, 48 Go Green has observed Mother Earth through the arts. The ecological institution began in Athens, Greece when Francesco Vitali, Executive Producer, and Christos Siametis, Producer, paired up to bring the world an exciting new idea. Their vision is to give film makers all over the planet the opportunity to compete in a world-wide film project with environmental themes.
The 48 Go Green International Eco Film Competition is one of eight in the 48 Projects portfolio, which includes 48 Film, 48 Stand Up Comedy, 48 Music, 48 Animation, 48 Comic, 48 Kids, 48 Stage each to be launched soon.
