Join thousands in declaring a commitment to valuing and protecting all human life in downtown Los Angeles! OneLife LA, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, celebrates the beauty and dignity of every human life. Event kicks off at Placita Olvera at noon and walk to the LA Historic Park (1245 N Spring St.) begins at 12:30 p.m. Celebration at the LA Historic Park will feature inspirational speakers, musical performances and service projects. Event will conclude at 4 p.m., followed by the “One Life, One Light Requiem for the Unborn” Mass celebrated by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez at 5 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. OneLife LA keynote speaker, Karen Gaffney, first person with Down syndrome to complete a relay swim of the English Channel, will share her story of overcoming limitations and, creating awareness and calling attention to the tremendous capabilities of people with disabilities.
