Rag N Bone Man: Born Rory Grahm in Uckfield, East Sussex, the young MC took his stage name from the sitcom Steptoe and Son. After moving to Brighton, he joined a hip hop group called Rum Collective, where he made connections at Slip-jam B and opened for the likes of Pharoahe Monk and KRS-One.

When he was 19, at the urging of your father, Graham sang in a blues jam in a local pub. Inspired by the experience, the young MC began to infuse blues and soul elements into his music, and shortly thereafter self-released his first EP, Blues Town. After collaborating with numerous artists, Graham finally found a working partner in producer Mark Crews.

Together, the duo crafter Rag'N'Bone Man's first professional EP, Wolves, which featured appearances by Vince Staples and Kate Tempest. This was followed up by another EP, Disfigured, which received substantial airplay on BBC 1. However, it wasn't until the release of the burgeoning artist's hit single, "Human", that Rag'N'Bone Man hit it big. The single was released in the summer of 2016, while the preceding album (also titled Human) was released in early 2017. The single has since gone Platinum, while the album has quickly earned Gold certification. Together, the popularity of the single and the album earned Rag'N'Bone Man the "Choice Award" at the 2017 Brit Awards.
